LAFFEY, JEAN MARIE of Chelsea, age 79, passed away from a long illness on October 22, 2021.
Jean was born on April 24, 1942 in Somerville and attended Somerville High School. She then went on to graduate from Bunker Hill Community College with an Associate’s Degree and continued to Suffolk University. She graduated on the Dean’s List with her Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Administration.
Daughter of the late Reginal I. Reid and Laura M. Hughes. Survived by sisters Laura M. Bullock of Hollywood, FL, as well as Annabelle L. Torino and her husband Robert of Somerville. Dear mother of Francine M. Dorrance and Renee Osegura as well as the late Raymond P. Laffey and Robert W. Laffey. Cherished grandmother of William Dorrance, Jennelle Dorrance, Erica Mullen, Robert Laffey, Kyle Laffey, Brianna Laffey and Justin Laffey. Also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the Casper Funeral Home located at 187 Dorchester Street in South Boston on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 10AM – 12 PM followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, MA.
