A good man went to heaven.
The Mahoney family is saddened by the passing of James Edward Mahoney on October 23, 2021. Jim was born in Cambridge, MA, where he was raised. After leaving the US Navy, he started working at EG&G and remained with the team until his retirement.
James was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Tewksbury, the Billerica Country Club, and devoted parishioner of St. Williams Church, where he was a member of the Men’s Club. He was an avid golfer and Boston Sports fan.
He and Madeline (Trudel), his beautiful wife of 61 years, raised 3 children in Tewksbury, MA: Rachelle Toth (married to Timothy), Dennis Mahoney of Norfolk, MA (married to Elaine), and Jacqueline Mahoney of Barnstable, MA. Jim is also survived by his three grandsons, John, James, and Nicholas; and his sister, Marilyn Sumrall of Merrimack, NH and her family.
ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2021 ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND HIS CALLING HOURS FROM 4-7 P.M. AT TEWKSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 1 DEWEY STREET, TEWKSBURY, MA 978-851-2061. HIS FUNERAL WILL BEGIN ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2021 AT 9 A.M. AT THE FUNERAL HOME, FOLLOWED BY HIS FUNERAL MASS AT 10 A.M. AT ST. WILLIAMS CHURCH, 1351 MAIN STREET, TEWKSBURY, MA. BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT ST. MARY CEMETERY IN TEWKSBURY.
