Rolland DeRemer (Rolly) was born in Detroit, Michigan October 6, 1945. After a long illness he died October 22, 2021 in Oxnard, California.
Rolly graduated from Nordhoff High School in Ojai, California and spent three years in the United States Army in two combat zones. He had a long career as an Aerospace Machinist and was proud of working on parts for the early space shuttles. He pursued life-long interests in music, history, Egyptology, target shooting, genealogy, and growing hot peppers with his friend Joel.
Rolly was preceded in death by his parents Ronda Smith DeRemer, Harold Clinton DeRemer and his beloved stepfather, Charles A. Johnson (Johnny). He is survived by his wife of almost 54 years, Cathleen Showman DeRemer, his brother McLellan DeRemer, his sister Dawn DeRemer and four children: Matthew DeRemer (wife Shalece) of Summerville, South Carolina, John Bryan DeRemer of North Charleston, South Carolina, Melisande DeRemer Kinser (husband Fred Lee) of Port Hueneme, California, and Christopher DeRemer of North Charleston, South Carolina.
He was the proud grandfather of Garrett, Hannah, Cody, Ty, Jaycee and Wyatt plus the Dogpa to Lolly, Hazel, Lilah, Izzy and Axel.

Family and friends are invited to funeral services to be held on Friday October 29, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1150 Gary Drive Oxnard. Arrangements are under the direction of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, Ventura.
