LEICESTER: Thomas P. Russell,66, of Leicester, died Wednesday, Oct. 20 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
He was the husband of Julie Ann (Mancuso) Russell who died in 2018. He leaves his daughter Haley M. Russell of Rochdale, a son Dale Cochran and his children; Dylan, Jordan and Jillian, many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Gary W. Russell and Lorry C. Russell and sisters Sally R. Russell and Judy R. Gammell.
Tom was an ironworker for the former Ajax Construction Co Inc, in RI for over 30 years, retiring in 2015.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Malcom C. and Elizabeth (Watson) Russell and later graduated from Leicester High School.
Tom was co-captain of the Leicester High School football team his senior year, and a junior Olympian skier. Later he enjoyed golfing with his friends, at home on the Cape, and in South Carolina.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30th from 2 to 3 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 3 p.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester.
