Kirker, of Brockton, April 14, 2006, Edmund J. Kirker, 77 years. Beloved husband of Marilyn R. (Simpson) Kirker. Devoted father of Gail Hinchey and her husband James of E. Bridgewater and Russell E. Kirker and his wife Carol of Brockton. Grandfather of Natalie Richards of Middleboro, Erin McDonough of W. Bridgewater and Mark Kirker of Somerville. Great grandfather of Rachel Silva and John McDonough.

Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 10am. Burial in Central Cemetery, E. Bridgewater. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8pm.

Obituary Information

Edmund J. Kirker, 77 years, died Friday morning at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a period of failing health. Born, raised and educated in Brockton he was the son of the late Edmund J. and Josephine (Sipsey) Kirker. Mr. Kirker was a lifelong resident of Brockton. He had been a driver for the former Colony Welding Supply Company in Brockton for many years and since 1977 he owned and operated North End Supply/Bay State Welding Supply Company in Brockton. He enjoyed outdoor activities; boating, motorcycling, ski mobiling and time spent at Old Silver Beach.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn R. (Simpson) Kirker, one daughter Gail Hinchey and her husband James of E. Bridgewater, one son Russell E. Kirker and his wife Carol of Brockton, three grandchildren Natalie Richards of Middleboro, Erin McDonough of W. Bridgewater and Mark Kirker of Somerville, two great grandchildren Rachel Silva and John McDonough, five sisters Elaine Jennings of Brockton, Josephine McNamara of Stoughton, Christine Strong of Florida, Jane Chassey of Missouri, Jean LeBlanc of Florida, one brother John Kirker of Las Vegas and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Kenneth Kirker and Daniel Kirker.
