Mr. Alfredo Ortiz, a resident of Andover and beloved husband of Graciela (Hurtado) passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital on Monday morning, October 18, 2021. He was 94 years old.
Born in Cali, Colombia, Alfredo enjoyed taking vacations to his native land. He was the beloved son of the late Noe and Maria Luisa (Trivino) Ortiz. Mr. Ortiz was a Dentist in Colombia for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fixing anything, especially electronics. He was Graciela's devoted husband for more than 50 years and will be dearly missed.
Besides his beloved wife, Alfredo is survived by his loving brother and sister-in-law; Octavio and his wife Jeanne Hurtado (Roy) of Charlestown, MA and Alberto Jaramillo of Concord, New Hampshire, as well as his nephew, Laurentino Trivino and his wife, Carmenza, of Colombia.
Alfredo and Graciela Ortiz spent many wonderful times visiting with their Florida cousins, Luis Ocampo, Ines Tejada, Dora Ruiz, and Omar Hurtado.
His Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 6 to 8 PM. Interment will be privately held.
