Shirley Claire Ludwig, 88, of Methuen, MA, passed away Wednesday October 20, 2021, at the Nevins Nursing and Rehab Center in Methuen, MA. She was born on August 12, 1933 in Lawrence, MA, the only child of the late Albert and Julie (Sedzewick) Michaud. Shirley was a graduate of Lawrence High School Class of 1950. She retired from Advanced Reproductions in 2011 at the age of 78. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Phelan and Eileen Woodward; her son, Richard Roy, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Ludwig.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, memorial services will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Monica’s Parish, C/O Parish Office, 254 Merrimack Street, Methuen, MA 01844. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
