Obituary

Pauline L. Levesque, 74, of Harrisville died peacefully Tuesday October 19, 2021 at Greenville Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Greenville. She was the loving wife of Paul A. Levesque. They were married on January 25, 1969.
Born and raised in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Cecile (Remy) Neveu. She was a resident of Woonsocket for most of her life before moving to Harrisville several years ago.
Pauline was a graduate of St. Clare Girls High School in Woonsocket, Class of 1967. She was self-employed for many years and also worked at Woonsocket Hospital/Landmark Medical Center and later at Wal-Mart stores.
Pauline was a member of the Holy Family Parish ladies guild for many years. She also volunteered her time to visit the elderly and those who were homebound.
Pauline had a special place in her heart for animals; she would unabashedly admit that she was a lover of all creatures great and small, especially the dogs and cats that were a part of her home. Pauline also savored Latin music, the rhythm and motions of Latin dance music was ingrained her spirit. Pauline also liked Harry Potter and dining out.
Pauline will be remembered as never being shy about speaking her mind. She adored her grandchildren.
Pauline lived her life to the fullest. In the face of her struggle with multiple sclerosis for over 20 years, she battled her illness with courage and dignity while making the most of every day and maintaining her positive and cheerful outlook on life. Pauline’s family is eternally grateful to all those who were a part of her care including the doctors, nurses and all other health care workers who did their best to maximize her quality of life.
In addition to her husband Paul of over 52 years, Pauline is survived by her son Steve Levesque and his wife Angela of Harrisville and her daughter Lisa Roberts and her husband Joseph of Cumberland. She was the grandmother of Emma Roberts and Parker and Eliza Levesque. She is also survived by her extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to honor and remember Pauline’s life at visiting hours on Sunday October 24, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. A prayer service will be held during visitation at 3:30 pm. Burial will be private.
