Obituary

William A. Moore,86, of 79 Wilson St., died Thursday, Apr. 13 at
Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Eva B. (Brunelle) Moore, a son Dana M. and
his wife Susan C. Moore of W.Brookfield, a daughter Karen L. and her husband
Norman L. Charbonneau of Spencer, a sister Clara Kerk of Archbold, OH., five
grand children Nicholas and Joseph Charbonneau, Heath, Bryon and Megan
Moore, two great grand children Antonia and John Paul Charbonneau, nieces
and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother Ernest Moore.
Mr. Moore was an automotive mechanics and English teacher at Blackstone
Valley Tech. in Upton for 17 years, before retiring in 1985. Previously he
was service manager at the former McSherry Ford in Spencer for many years.
He was a veteran of WWII serving with the 1st. Marine Division. He was a
member of the Gaudette-Kirk Post 138 American Legion, member and past Grand
Knight of Knights of Columbus, Council 118, past president of the Spencer
Exchange Club, 1st. Marine Division Association, Retired Mass. Teachers
Association, and Our Lady of the Rosary Parish. He graduated from Fitchburg
State College.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of Ernest P. and Gladys (Bastow)
Moore.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Apr. 18 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of
the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Calling hours are Monday, Apr. 17
from 4 to 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mary,Queen
of the Rosary Parish Building Fund, 60 Maple St., Spencer, 01562.
