Floyd Lee “butch” Sanders Jr. passed away on May 30, 2021. Born on April 20, 1962, Butch always had a personality that was bigger than life. He was caring, compassionate and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Butch had a passion for fishing and socializing with his fellow fishermen. He also enjoyed Surfing, Cooking, Sushi, Camping, Carpentry and Music.
Butch was born in Maryland to Floyd Lee and Patricia Ann Sanders on April 20, 1960. He went to high school at El Segundo High School and graduated in 1978. He served in the United States Airforce and attended college at the Illinois State University and San Diego State University.
Butch is survived by his son, Blaze Sanders, of Laguna Niguel, CA; sister, Gail Blake, Floral City, FL; niece, Ansley Darling, husband Ryan Darling and children Emilie, Connor and Claire Darling. Butch is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Lee Sanders; mother, Patricia Ann Sanders; sister, LeeAnn Kay Moffit; brother, Philip Wayne Sanders.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Mike & Mary Miller, John & Holly Barry, Patty Ramos, Josh & Tiffany Walton and of course all of Butch’s great friends in the Fishing community.
Funeral services will be held at Joseph P Reardon Funeral Home 757 E Main Street, Ventura on November 13, 2021 at 10 am. Following the services Shawn Hall will give a toast in honor of Butch at the Boatyard Pub located at 1583 Spinnaker Dr Suite 109, Ventura Harbor.
