William F. McCurdy, III, of Hudson, New Hampshire, formerly of Franklin and Malden, October 18th, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Ann Marie (Cole) McCurdy. Father of William F. McCurdy, IV and his wife Katherine of Newbury, NH and Patricia McCurdy of Manchester, NH. Grandfather of Fiona, Alice, Nevaeh and Kianna. Longtime companion of Linda Wheeler of Hudson, NH and her children Ryan, Joe and Chris Wheeler. Son of Norma (Cronin) McCurdy of Malden and the late William F. McCurdy, Jr. Brother of James McCurdy of Andover, Thomas McCurdy of Malden, Catherine Stafford of Hopkinton, John McCurdy of Billerica, Marcia Mitchell of Northridge, CA and the late Robert McCurdy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. William was raised and educated in Malden. He is a graduate of Malden Catholic High School, Class of 1971. As a young man, he worked as a machinist. At age 40 he obtained a degree in computer engineering from the University of Lowell. He worked as a software engineer at IBM for several years. Bill was a member of the Pelham Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed competing in many tournaments sponsored by the USPSA. He was also an avid bowler in past years. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Tuesday October 26th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in West Peabody. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday October 25th from 4-7 PM.
