Obituary

Aaron John Shaffer, 43, passed away on Thursday, October 14th at home in Forestdale, MA.

Born on October 9, 1978 he worked in construction and as a gifted jack-of-all trades. Over the years, he traveled widely and lived recently in Gulfport, FL, and New Hampton, NH. He just finished CDL school and was about to hit the road for pay. He loved travel, music, and people. He was a gifted, funny, mechanical genius who was loved by his friends and family for his humor, candor, generosity, and loyalty. If you were a friend of Aaron, you probably own something he fixed. A 1997 graduate of Sandwich High School, he studied at ITT Tech and was an honor student at lakes Region Community College. Additionally he was a prodigious self-learner who trained himself in mechanics, carpentry, electronics, drone aero acrobatics, and guitar. He loved music dearly and played guitar beautifully. He also loved to travel and had crossed the country extensively in a Volkswagen van that he restored himself as a teenager in his parents' driveway. He had friends all over the World- from here to Russia including Norway the UK and Germany. He will be remembered as a loving, forgiving, hilarious, and loyal companion who selflessly gave gifts of self to everyone he knew.

He is survived by his wife Jessica Jane Terris Shaffer and their furbabies Lowkey, Biggins and Puffington Pass, his parents, Raymond Shaffer, Sr. and Jo-Anne Shaffer, of Forestdale, his brother Ray Jr., of Burbank, CA, sister and brother-in-law Jane and Tim Smith, of East Haddam, CT, sister Heidi of Coventry, RI, 6 Shaffer nephews-Spencer, Griffin, Chance, Colby, Payton and Reese and 1 Shaffer niece Taylor; as well as his family in law including his mother and father in law MaryJane and Richard C Terris and his sisters and brother from another mother- Tammy Terris Arsenault and her husband Michael, Buffy Terris Gamache and her husband Jeff and Richard JH Terris and his wife Jessica as well as his 2 (Terris) nephews Gavin and Daniel and his (Terris) neices Leah and Mia.

He was predeceased by his brother Eric, his grandparents and his beloved pets Cheyenne, Boom Shaka Laka. Ghost and Che'Loyal as well as many friends a few uncles and cousins and Dolores his grandmother in Law.

Separate celebrations of his life will be held on Cape Cod, Lowell and Gulfport areas. The particulars of these events will be shared at a later date.

Remember his laughter and May the moon and rainbows tie you to his memory.

Friends will be received on Saturday, October 23rd, from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury.
