Lucie T. (Ouellette) Morrison, 64, of East Providence, passed away unexpectedly at the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Born in Beverly on October 20, 1956 she was the daughter of the late Paul N. and Rita (Beaupre) Ouellette.
Raised in Salem, MA she was a graduate of Salem High. As a teenager she worked as a waitress for the former Mary’s Lunch on Lafayette St. in Salem. Lucie moved to Rhode Island as a young adult and opened a fitness center while beginning her body building career for which she won several awards. She later became an investment salesperson. Following the birth of her son Ben she left sales to drive a school bus so as to be near her son every day. She left school busing as Ben advanced in years and was able to get to school on his own. She later worked as a merchandiser for Ocean State Job Lots and her last job was for a transportation company getting cars off container ships.
Lucie was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed attending Red Sox games with her brothers. She was also loved spending time at the Topsfield Fair.
She is survived by her son, Benjamin Morrison of Texas, her brothers, Laurent P. Ouellette and his wife Corine of Salem, Robert F. Ouellette of Lowell and Ronald G. Ouellette and his wife Marie of Marblehead, and her former husband, Norbert Morrison of Barrington, RI, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service for family was held in the family lot in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
