December 27, 1980 in St. Thomas, Jamaica, at sunrise God blessed Mrs. Yvette Spaulding Glenn and Mr. Ophni Davis with an amazing and devoted son, Orville Gilbert Davis (Glen aka Big “O”). On October 9, 2021, sunset for our beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend from this life to be with the Lord. He was a loyal husband to his loving wife, Carissa Holmes-Davis and loving father to three beautiful daughters, Olyvia, Zoey and Rhilee. He was passionate about taking care of his family. His laugh, his smile, his sense of humor, his guitar and organ playing, his generosity and love will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. In Orville's early years, he was raised by his mother in Lloyds, Jamaica until the age of nine when he migrated to the United States to live with his father, stepmother and siblings. In his teenage years, he was baptized and sung in the Pentecostal Apostolic Church Choir. He was a proud graduate of Windsor High School where he enjoyed playing Football with the Windsor Warrior Football team. His favorite football team was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was proud of being a member of The Owls Football team and student at Southern Connecticut State University. He obtained both a Commercial Driver’s License and a Cosmetology and Barbering License to further his career objectives. Orville was a dedicated Barber at Better Cuts and a Healthcare worker in Manchester, CT. He previously worked as a Shipping and Receiving Representative for UPS, Intern at LLM Trucking, and worked with his father as a Master Barber at Shallimar Unisex Salon. He was also Master Barber at Underground Kutz and Owner & Operator at Lincoln Marshall Trucking. His good works compel us to give God glory, not just for his life but for the way he made the lives of so many others better. As an adult, Orville rededicated his life to God under the spiritual guidance of Pastor Elder Black. Orville leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of ten years, Carissa Holmes-Davis and their beautiful daughters; Olyvia, Zoey and Rhilee; Mother, Yvette Spaulding Glenn; Father, Ophni Davis (Suseth); Sisters, Sabreena Davis and Makalah Davis; Brother, Mark Davis (Eve); Nieces, Alexis Peart, Celeste Davis, Faith Davis; and Nephews, Jeremy Davis and Justin Peart.
