Devout Christian, lifelong mechanic and retired school bus driver, Sammy’s love of life didn’t come to an end with his death. Sammy passed away on October 12, 2021 at the age of 60 after suddenly falling ill. Sammy was born in Manati, Puerto Rico to parents, Francisco Gonzalez and Maria Elena Burgos. Sammy was a good-fearing man and lived his life to the fullest. Sammy was always graciously and unselfishly willing to help anyone in need. He would stand by you through the toughest times and always knew exactly what to say and how to fix it. He did his very best to live his life and walk the righteous path. He spread the love of God not only with his words, but with his actions. His legacy will always live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Sammy is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Margarita Lebron. His mother, Maria Elena Burgos. His children: Nelisette Rodriguez, Brendaliz Rodriguez, Melvin Suarez, Leiry Laborde, Janet Laborde, Arsenio Laborde, and Denise Laborde. His grandchildren: Isaias Zelaya, Christian Suarez-Zelaya, Analiz Reyes, Gabriella Potter, Jayden Reyes, Joseph Monge, Amanda Monge, Arsenio Negron, Precious Rivera, Keila Rivera, Abriana Monge, Jeremiah Rivera, Ezequiel Negron, Maribel Rivera, Abigail Rivera, Bianca Rivera, Janeli Negron, Chantelle Rivera. Great grandchildren: Angel Monde, Lilah Monge and Leslie Monge. Funeral services will be held at the Iglesia Pentecostal de Angelica Nueva Vida 179 Glenway St. Dorchester. Visiting hours at the church on Monday October 18 beginning at 5 PM. Funeral services at the church on Tuesday October 19 from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.
