Nina “Faye” Taylor, 87, of Tifton passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Taylor at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Lakeview Baptist Church Cemetery in Cook County, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Jimmy Stone will officiate.
Born February 14, 1934, in Berrien County, Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late John Thomas Taylor and Ruth Irene Wiley Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Taylor; one son, David Michael Gaskins; and one brother, James Huey Taylor. She loved flowers and worked in the floral business and retired from Manaugh’s Nursery in Tifton. She was a great cook and enjoyed gardening and working puzzles. She loved animals, especially, her dog, Baby Taylor. She was of the Christian faith and attended Lakeview Baptist Church in Cook County.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jerry and Dianna Gaskins of Enigma and Ken and Tonya Gaskins of Enigma and James Victor Gaskins of Tifton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Tommy Clements of Valdosta, Sherry Hilton and Steve West of Albany and Susan and Phil Eason of Ty Ty; one brother and sister-in-law, W. F. and Carol Taylor of Sparks; two sisters, Edna Ruth Raper of Ochlocknee and Lillian Taylor McClellan of Lenox; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
