Robert W. “Bob” Hiltunen, 74, of Worcester, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 10th, 2021 after a long illness. He is survived by a son, Benjamin Hiltunen, and a daughter, Sera Kelley, both of Worcester; a granddaughter, Hannah Zacek of Worcester; an aunt, Pauline Wambach of Worcester; and numerous cousins and friends. He was predeceased by a grandson, Adrian Kelley of Worcester, and his longtime companion Sandra Tibbetts.
Bob was born in Worcester to the late Olavi and Gloria (Wambach) Hiltunen. He attended Beverly School for the Deaf and subsequently Burncoat Senior High School. After graduating, he attended Worcester Industrial Technical Institute. He worked at Lowell Corporation of West Boylston as a draftsman for 39 years before retiring in 2015. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed bowling, camping, gardening, restoring antique toys, researching the history of Worcester, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
His Funeral is Monday, October 18th with a service at 11:00 AM at O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home.
