Vito Magaletta, 81 of Medford died Friday after a long illness in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Medford, MA.
Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Savino and the late Vicenza (Novia) Magaletta.
Mr. Magaletta was a Security Guard for 13 years at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and retired in 1985. He also was a member of the Society DiMaddona Anzano of Boston. He and his wife Vitamarie were married for 55 years.
Beloved husband of Vitamarie (Pastore). Devoted father of Savino Magaletta of Wareham, and Carmine Magaletta of Stoneham. Loving grandfather of Victor, Joseph, Annemarie, and Gordon. Brother of Michael and Euplio Magaletta both of Medford, Saveria Cipriano of Australia and the late Rosina Mazzeo, Antonette Damiano and Marie Chiuvuzi.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford/Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
