Reba Mae Moody Whitley, 89, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, October 11, 2021, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Whitley was born August 5, 1932, in Rebecca, Georgia, to the late Seaborn & Pauline Coleman Moody. She lived in the community all of her life and was a peanut grader for Dixie Peanut. She loved to cook and sew. Mrs. Whitley was a member of the Fitzgerald Church of God.
She is survived by her sisters: Ann M. Sanders of Fitzgerald, Sudie M. Musslewhite of Fitzgerald and Sylvia M. Wiley of Ashburn. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny E. Whitley; three sisters and two brothers.
