Carolyn R. Moody, 63, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Thursday, April 13, 2006, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2006 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rebecca, with Rev. Danny Lovett officiating. Visitation will be held from 7 until 9, Friday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Moody was born March 15, 1943, in Bartow, Florida, to the late James E. and Lillian Longsdorff Byrd. She lived in the community since 1977 from Bartow. Mrs. Moody was a former employee of H.R. Kaminsky & Sons and Y & W Sportswear. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to fish and work in her flower garden.
Mrs. Moody is survived by her husband: Curtis Junior Moody of Ocilla; daughter: Robin M. Hudson of Ocilla; sons: Ronnie E. Moody of Valdosta, Billy Joe Moody, Raymond Moody and Tim W. Moody, all of Ocilla, Dwayne Moody of Thomasville and Carlos Moody of Ocilla; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers: John A. Byrd of Bartow, FL and James E. Byrd, Jr., of Ocilla. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters.
