Joseph Alvarez, 41, of Worcester passed away October 4th in UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. He is survived by his father, José Alvarez of Puerto Rico, and his mother Lucy Joubert of Worcester; two sisters, Luz Alvarez and Gissette Alvarez both of Worcester; a brother, Ramon Alvarez of Puerto Rico; a brother-in-law, Axel Hernandez of Bondsville; seven nieces, Natasha Luciano, Darylis Figueroa, Jadalynn Fenner, Jezebel Gil, Alisha Moronta, Evelyn Martinez, and Virginia Martinez; five nephews, José Alvarez, Jonathan Luciano, Joseph Baez, Parker Paupaw, and Brian Fenner, Jr.; two cousins, Joanel Hernandez and Sara DeJesus; and an aunt Vivian Alvarez.
Joseph was proudly born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He was a very talented barber who aspired to own his own barbershop. He also loved music whether it was singing or dancing to it. Joseph was known as a very fun man to be around, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his personality could light up a room. Joseph was very loved and will be missed.
His visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
