Judy Adams Deaver, 79, of Rebecca, Georgia, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Big Creek Baptist Church in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. Ed Reeves and the Rev. Ray Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Big Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the sanctuary.
Mrs. Deaver was born October 12, 1941, in Miami, Florida to the late Rev. W. H. & Velma Evans Adams. She was a 1959 graduate of Irwin County High School and was an FFA “Sweetheart”. She later received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Georgia College for Women in Milledgeville, Georgia. Mrs. Deaver taught kindergarten and was a cheerleading coach at Riverview Academy for many years. She loved Christmas and spending time with her grandchildren, who will lovingly remember her as “JuJu”. She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Tiffani Cooper & Kenneth of Irwin County, Glenn Deaver & Tammy of Austin, Texas and Adam Deaver of Leesburg; 11 grandchildren; six great-granddaughters and an aunt, Annette Mashburn of Turner County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Lamar Deaver, Sr.
