Reynard Wright (affectionately known as “Butch”) was born on August 1st, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Lee Birda McGee and late Robert Richardson. He graduated from Proviso East High School before entering the Army in February of 1983.
In November of 1984, Reynard welcomed his first child (Ciara) with his second child (Reynard Christopher) following in 1987 with Alina Velazquez. Reynard had an Honorable Discharge from the Army in September of 1992 and moved to the Boston area in 1998 to be near his two children. In November 2008, Reynard welcomed his third child (Reychelle) with Michelle Avery. He also welcomed his first grandchild in 2016.
Reynard enjoyed reading the Bible, learning, watching the NBA, working out, spending time with his children (especially at the beach), and providing for his family. He worked as a security supervisor and liked working third shift so he could be with his children during the day. Reynard regarded his time in the Army as a core part of what shaped him into a man.
Reynard leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy, his daughter Ciara Rogers (Christopher Rogers) and grandson Christopher Rogers of New Haven, CT; son Reynard Christopher Wright of Doniphan, MO; daughter Reychelle Wright of Boston, MA; son Michael Rogers of Boston, MA, sister Beverly Jackson of Maywood, IL; brother Ricky Wright of Broadview, IL; Nephews John Jackson Jr of Bellwood, IL; Ricky Wright Jr of Aurora, IL; Reginald Wright of Oak Park, IL; Brentone Adams-Wright of Bridgeview, IL; nieces Johanna Jackson of Atlanta, GA; and DeeAnna Wright of Willowbrook, IL.
In addition to his mother and father, Reynard is pre-deceased by his brother Bernard Wright, Aunt Gertrude Franklin and niece Tanya Wright. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of family and friends.
