Bette E. Jackson, 75

Bette E. (Dunne) Jackson, age 75, of Norton, formerly of Foxborough and Mansfield, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 1, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Gary C. Jackson, Sr., to whom she was wed on April 11, 1967.
Born in Attleboro, MA on August 15, 1946, she was a loving daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Hall) Dunne.
Bette grew up in Mansfield and was a 1964 graduate of Mansfield High School. She was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family and prior to retiring had been employed for nearly thirty years, as a Pharmacist Technician, at CVS in Mansfield, beginning her career when the company operated under the name of Thayer Pharmacy.
She had made her home in Norton for the past 1 ½ years and had previously lived in Foxborough for 32 years. Bette treasured the times spent with family, especially with her grandchildren. Along with her husband Gary, she enjoyed traveling and gardening and her favorite show to watch was American Pickers.
In addition to her husband of fifty-four years, she is survived by her devoted sons: Gary C. Jackson and his wife Kara of Norton and Broc D. Jackson and his wife Kaylin of Dedham. She was the cherished grandmother of Matthew Jackson, Emma Schiffer and her husband Robert, Anthony Jackson, Jake Jackson, Bodhi Jackson, Emerson Jackson and the great grandmother of Iva Schiffer and Tate Schiffer. She was the dear sister of Barbara Boothroyd and her husband Herbert of Florida, Thomas Dunne of Foxborough, Brenda Fielding and her husband William of Chatham, John Dunne and his wife Phyllis and is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, October 8th from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
At the conclusion of visiting hours, a service in celebration of her life will be held at 6:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will take privately at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Bette’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.
