William A. Graichen “Bill” of Derry, NH passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, September 29, 2021 at the age of 82. He was in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family and beloved wife Nancy of 60 years.
Bill was born in Methuen, MA on February 21, 1939 to the late Clarence and Winifred (Paisley) Graichen. He has resided in Derry for the past 60 years where he and Nancy raised their family.
Shortly after graduating from Haverhill Trade School, Bill joined the Marine Corps Reserve. Big Island Pond is where he met the love of his life, “the beautiful blonde on the beach”, Nancy. They were married for 60 years and happily raised their family. Making memories with family and lifelong friends, Bill enjoyed boating and snowmobiling on Big Island Pond. He enjoyed vacationing in Aruba with those same lifelong friends. One of his special joys that he took great pride in was taking care of his yard and having an amazing lawn. He loved spending time in his back yard with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy (Boissonneault) Graichen of Derry, two sons, Gary Graichen, his wife Sabrina of Derry, and Darren Graichen, his wife Marisol of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX. He also leaves his daughter-in-law, Laura Gray-Graichen, wife of his son, the late Scott Graichen. Bill also enjoyed their six grandchildren, Lynsie, Julie, Camryn, Ava, Lyla and Logan, four great grandchildren, Isabella, Rhys, Weston and Jaylyn, along with many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Bill was predeceased by his brother Clark and his wife Pauline of Ocean Side, California.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at North Salem Methodist Church, 389 N. Main St., Salem, NH at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements.
