Daniel Jose Monteiro (74) of Brockton passed away peacefully on September 29th at home under hospice care. He was the loving husband of Ana Marie (Cabral) Monteiro of Brockton.
He was born in Sao Filipe, Fogo, Cape Verde son of the late Antonio Monterio and Maria Santa Goncalves. Daniel was a driver in the transportation industry in his home country of Cape Verde. He loved to read, write, help others, listen to Cape Verdean music, watch soccer games and socialize with family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Paulo Monteiro of Fall River, his daughter Lucia Silveira of Brockton, 4 brothers, Julio Monteiro of Quincy, Domingo Monteiro of Boston, Afonso Monteiro and Deafonso Monteiro both of Cape Verde, 3 sisters, Manuela Monteiro, Alta Monteiro and Morgadinha Monteiro all of Cape Verde, 3 grandchildren, Analia, Kamila and Sanyah.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Tuesday October 5th from 5-8 pm. Funeral Services in the Funeral Home Wednesday October 6th at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton.
