Obituary

Bradford P. Stevens, 86, of Londonderry, NH died Friday September 24, 2021 at his home. Mr. Stevens was born in Somerville, MA on June 7, 1935 a son of the late Earl and Caroline (Merrill) Stevens. He had resided in Londonderry for the past 15 years, formerly living in Sandown, NH.

Brad, as he was better known, spent his military career assigned to a secret ionospheric research facility in Adak, Alaska. Though his work career was cut short by health issues, he successfully worked in a wide variety of roles as a TV repairman, warehouse supervisor and plant manager. Upon his forced retirement, he became an avid fisherman. He fished any body of water that had swimming creatures in it, whether it be a small pond, the Connecticut River or Hampton Bay.

He is survived by three children, Bradford P. Stevens, Jr., John D. Stevens and Patricia J. McFadyen; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol Taylor. There are also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris B. (Gidney) Stevens who died in 2012 and by several siblings, Earl Stevens, John Stevens, Salvation Army Major Constance Connie Seiler and Barbara Dodge.

Following cremation, a calling hour will be held on Friday October 1, 2021 from 1 – 2 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A time of sharing will follow at 2:00 pm. At the family request, masks are required for all those in attendance.
