Mike Sweat, 50, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Thursday, September 30, 2021, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Allen Arowood officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 2 PM until the service hour at the funeral home.
Mr. Sweat was born April 11, 1971, in Ocilla, Georgia, to Richard & Anita Earlene Cook Sweat. He lived in the community all of his life and worked with Target Distribution. Mr. Sweat was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing with his Uncle Roger Cook, who was very special to him. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Stephanie Sweat of Fitzgerald; two step-children: Erin Reaves & Michael Lambert “Little Mike” of Amelia Courthouse, Virginia and Daniel Reaves & Monica of Bremerton, Washington; a brother, Jeffery Earl Sweat; a brother-in-law, Chad Passmore & Julie and three nephews: Jaden Sweat, Michael Sweat and Ian Passmore. A host of aunts and uncles also survive.
