On November 22, 1926, Patty was born as an only child to William and Molly Kelly in Berthoud, Colorado where she stayed throughout her educational years. At the age of 5 she was introduced to the piano and discovered her God given gift for music which would serve her well throughout her lifetime. When she was 19, she moved to the Tri-City area where she eventually met her future husband, Laverne Richman, and they were married in 1952. They moved to the Horse Heaven Hills outside of Prosser where Vern was a wheat rancher and there raised their five children. During this time, she was very active in Prosser with community services by serving as UGN chairman, served four times as the local Eagles Auxiliary President, musician for the local Rotary Club, played for numerous church services, weddings, funerals, community awards banquets, and served as secretary for 10 years for the very popular Guys & Dolls Bowling League. All the while working for several decades as secretary to the manager
of the Benton Rural Electric Assn. In 1983 she became a widow and latter
married Bill Tucker. They later moved to Polson, Montana where Bill had gone to school. It was during this time she became Grand Musician for the Eagles' Grand Auxiliary for the U.S. and Canada and served in that capacity for several years. After 10 years of marriage, she was widowed and later met and married Jerry Ferdinand. They enjoyed traveling and was a fixture in the Polson community. After 10 years of marriage Jerry passed.
