James Walter Russ, Jr., 70, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Phillip Brown officiating.
Mr. Russ was born August 25, 1951, in Huntsville, Alabama, to the late James Walter Russ, Sr. & Evelyn Louis Emory Russ. He graduated from Frost Proof High School in Florida. Mr. Russ was an auctioneer and enjoyed collecting knives. He loved to talk, tell stories and he enjoyed people. Mr. Russ was a member of Midway Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Taylor Russ of Fitzgerald; children: Jarrod Russ & Victoria, Byron Russ and Scott Russ; six grandchildren: Raven Russ, Anna Harper, Taylor Morris & Tyler, Karlie Williams, Daniel Black and Dylan Black; three great-grandchildren: Madelyn Morris, Gabbie Morris and Abigail Morris; and two sisters-in-law: Cindy Jeffreys and Melody Taylor.
