James (Jimmy) C. Almeida was born at Quincy Hospital on 06/23/1977. He was the son of James & Rosemary Almeida and the brother of Michael Almeida. He was raised in Brockton, Ma where he graduated from Southeastern Reg. in 1996.
Growing up James enjoyed sports, music, animals, karaoke, going to the beach & canobie lake. He also loved visiting plymouth. Always the life of the party and ready to show off his dance moves. He gave the best hugs and had the most beautiful smile.
James absolutely loved his family. He spent lots of time with them. Family truly meant the world to him. He adored all of his cousins especially the new little ones.
When James was 11, he suffered from a brain tumor. Years later he was diagnosed with another brain tumor at the age of 18 just three days after he graduated from high school. Unfortunately due to the tumors he then suffered from seizures and went legally blind. Over the past few years he was hospitalized many times due to his condition.
His most recent seizure ended with a short hospitalization at Signature Health. Due to the seriousness of his condition he was then Med flighted to Massachusetts General Hospital. After weeks there and no real improvement they family had to make the tough decision to remove him from the machines that were keeping him alive.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Wednesday September 29th from 5-8 pm. Cremation to follow.
