Russel Ben Raabe, Jr., 78, of Derry, NH, passed away Saturday September 25, 2021, after a period of declining health in Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, MA. He was born on February 17, 1943 in New York, a son of the late Margaret (Miller) and Russel B. Raabe Sr. In his younger years, he played football while in high school. He attended Michigan State University, graduating with a Bachelors of Science. Russel enjoyed watching College football and keeping up with the Patriots. He also enjoyed collecting coins.
He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Connors and her husband Nate of Westford, MA; two grandchildren, Jack and Emily, and one brother David Raabe as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Susan (Shahabian) Raabe in 2019 and his son David Raabe in 2013.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 2 – 4pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. Private burial will be a later date in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry, NH.
