Roseann M. (Organ) Gangell age 76 of East Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully on September 23, 2021 at Tufts Medical Center. Roseann was the loving wife for 53 years of Ronald J. Gangell. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary T. (Lynch) Organ. Roseann was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School and Boston Secretarial School.
For over 50 years, Roseann managed and worked in the cafeteria of Cardinal Spellman High School, a job she truly loved. Always with a positive outlook, she was a caregiver to many and welcomed many into her home for gatherings. Her family, children, grandchildren and the Cardinal Spellman students gave her the most enjoyment in her life.
Roseann loved time with her family, especially summers at the family cottage in Sandwich. She also enjoyed baking, gardening and canning. The students at Cardinal Spellman benefitted from her love of baking by enjoying the cookies she made.
In addition to her husband, Roseann is survived by her children John Gangell of East Bridgewater, Jennifer Battaglia and her husband Chad of Reading and Jessica Duggan of Mansfield; six grandchildren Brandon and Danny Gangell, Madison and Brooke Battaglia and McKayla and Kayleigh Duggan; her best friend and sister Maureen Call and her husband Keith of Bridgewater; and her sister in law Linda Tillgren of Berkley. Roseann was also the sister of the late Richard Organ and Mary Lou Organ.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John’s Church, East Bridgewater on Wednesday, September 29 at 10am, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. At the request of the family, those attending mass are requested to wear masks.
