Alphy E. Michaud, 73, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thursday, September 23, 2021. He was the husband of the late Isabel F. (Costa) Michaud whom he loved very much.
Born in Van Buren, Maine, son of the late Albert and Anita (Beaupré) Michaud, he lived in New Mexico for many years before retiring to New Bedford.
Alphy was a collector of many things, and was very involved in his Native American Heritage. He served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Alphy worked as a delivery driver at Mee Hong Restaurant for many years.
Survivors include his siblings, Allen Michaud, Anna Michaud, Alma Michaud, and Angela Chumack; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his son, Jonathan Michaud, and his siblings Alberta Chumack, Alvin Michaud, Alinda Hathaway, Abel Michaud, and Arlene Michaud.
