Ronald J. Mullen "Moon", 79, of Whitman, formerly of Brockton passed away September 23 at his home after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Margret E (Burrell) Liguori and Vincent Paul Mullen of Brockton, step son of Vincent Liguori.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Katherine (Pierce) Mullen, his children, John, James, Gena, Kate and daughters-in-law Heather and Ann. His grandchildren Katherine, Joseph, Justin, Olivia and the late Stephen Mullen. His brother Paul William Mullen, wife Judy and nephew Darin of Colorado.
Ronald was a lifetime member of the Teamsters Union and the American Legion Post 22. He retired with Star Market in 1998 after 29 years of employment.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and was passionate about going to the casinos. His favorite pastime was watching his old western movies.
Ronald served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday September 30th at 9:45AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Visitation will be on Wednesday September29th from 4:00-7:00PM.
