STERLING__Rita S. (Barnatovicius) Kolaczyk, 90, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, in Sterling Village Skilled Nursing Center, 18 Dana Hill Rd., Sterlin, Mass.
Born in Worcester, daughter of Frank and Sophie (Alisaukas) Barnatovicius. She was sister to predeceased Stanley Barnatovicius. Rita was married to the late W.F.D. Deputy Fire Chief Frank Kolaczyk for 21 years. She is survived by Karen Kolaczyk of Marlboro; Kenneth Kolaczyk and his wife Tina of Victor NY; Kristen O’Brien and her husband Kevin of South Yarmouth; and Kim Kolaczyk of Worcester. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Kolby O’Brien, Konor O’Brien, Kiara Kolaczyk, Keith Kolaczyk and Alekxander Kolaczyk.
A lifelong Vernon Hill resident, Rita graduated Commerce High School and was employed as a clerk of the Clerk of Courts in the Superior Courthouse. In her retirement, she was employed at Stop and Shop in Worcester on Grafton St. Rita won Miss. Lithuania from the Worcester Lithuanian Society, she also was a parishioner of the Our Lady of Vilna Parish. Rita was a lover of life frequently took craft classes at Worcester’s Night Life. She also could be seen shopping in the galleria and around town. She also loved to visit the Courthouse on occasion. She will be missed by all that met her and her vibrant personality.
