Natick: Ruth Marjorie (McCracken)Young, 93, died on February 10, 2021 after a long and happy life with her family and friends.
She was born in Natick on December 23, 1927 the daughter of the late John Edward Taylor McCracken and Alice Mildred (Hepworth) McCracken. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Priscilla Jean McCracken.
Ruth was the wife of the late Robert B. Young and married for 60 years. She is survived by her children Richard Young of Framingham, Alice Valle of Holliston, Robert Young of Natick, William and Janet Young of Orlando, FL, Susan and Greg Mathews of Lunenburg, and the late David Young and his wife, Denise.
She was a loving grandmother and will be missed by her eight grandchildren, Alison and Ronnie Valle, Jason Young, Suzanne Whitehead, Tyler, Kayli and Cooper Mathews and Victoria Young. She was blessed to also have five great grandchildren.
After staying home for several years raising her six children, Ruth worked at Five Star Realty as an Administrative Assistant. She then moved on to a position at the American Heart Association in Needham where she was very proud of her work in the organization.
Ruth enjoyed line dancing and being with people from church and throughout the Natick community. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her family who she dedicated her love and life to making wonderful memories with them.
A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 39 East Central Street (Rt 135), Natick. Face masks will be required.
Interment will follow in the Young Family lot in Dell Park Cemetery.
