WAYLAND: James W. “Jimmy” O’Reilly, 59, died unexpectedly at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham on Monday, September 13, 2021 after being stricken earlier in the morning.
He was born in Natick on December 7, 1961 the son of the late Edward L. O’Reilly and Joan Adele (Fitzpatrick) Kelly.
He was the brother of Steve O’Reilly and his wife Bonnie of Venice, FL; Edward “Butch” O’Reilly and his wife Evelyn of Waltham; Donna Kieft of Grafton; Joanie Stepp and her husband John of Palmetto, FL; Larry O’Reilly and his wife Nancy of Wrentham; Keith O’Reilly of Devon, PA; Nancy Chabot and her husband Jerry of Shrewsbury; John O’Reilly of Highland, CA and the late Raymond “Joey” Monto. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Jimmy has been a lifelong resident of Wayland and graduated from Wayland High School with the Class of 1980. He was proud to have spent most of his life in the “Overlook Road” neighborhood before moving to the Cochituate area of Wayland a few years ago. He was the owner of James O’Reilly Construction and has been associated with Thomas Finelli Building, Inc. in Southborough for many years.
He enjoyed time spent on his boat on Buzzards Bay in Onset as well as traveling on his motorcycle. He also was a devoted brother, uncle and friend to many people that he remained close to.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm ONLY followed by private family services. At the request of Jimmy’s family masks are to be worn for visitations at the funeral home.
Interment will be held at a later date for family in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
