It was with great sadness, that we announce the death of Juanita Santiago, aka “Pachin, “ who passed away on September 15, 2021, at the age of 76. She was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Juan Santiago and Juana Jova Rivera. She enjoyed cooking, going out, and socializing with family and friends.
Juanita is survived by her daughters Nancy & Annette Santiago; five grandchildren Julius, Jazlyn, Taina, Naijah & Ciara; two great-grandchildren Jaylani & Jream; as well as many siblings, family & two dearest friends Virginia & best friend Gorgi.
Juanita fought cancer until the very end like a champ. She was tiny but mighty, a tough cookie, strong, brave & never showed her pain. She will be remembered for her great love, kindness, cherished memories, and her grace through it all. She will forever be loved and missed. Rest in perfect peace Juanita.
Visiting hours will be held at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home, 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 10AM until 12PM followed by interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Con gran tristeza anunciamos la muerte de Juanita Santiago “Pachín”, quien falleció el 15 de Septiembre 2021, a la edad de 76 años. Nació en Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, hija del fallecido Juan Santiago y Juana Jova Rivera. Disfrutaba cocinar, salir y socializar con familiares y amigos.
A Juanita le sobreviven sus hijas Nancy y Annette Santiago; cinco nietos Julius, Jazlyn, Taina, Naijah y Ciara; dos bisnietos Jaylani & Jream; así como muchos hermanos, familiares y dos amigos más queridos, Virginia y Bestfriend Gorgi.
Juanita luchó contra el cáncer hasta el final como una campeona. Era pequeña pero poderosa, una galleta dura, fuerte, valiente y nunca mostró su dolor. Ella será recordada por su gran amor, amabilidad, preciados recuerdos y su gracia a través de todo. Ella será amada y extrañada por siempre. Descansa en perfecta paz Juanita.
El horario de visita se llevará a cabo en la Funeraria Brady & Fallon, 10 Tower St. (Forest Hills MBTA) Jamaica Plain el lunes 20 de Septiembre de 2021 de 10AM hasta las 12PM. Seguirá el sepelio en el cementerio Oak Lawn, Roslindale.
