RALPH V. FONZO 1933 - 2021
Connoisseur of all things beautiful and well designed, Ralph loved Opera, Formula One racing, Ferraris, especially his own 33 foot Scanmar, Motorcycles, and anything Italian.
Ralph’s skills were legend, but he was most fond of his popular burger stand in Pasadena, Rick’s Burgers (Tacos, Burritos), and it’s devoted fans. There, he created his secret sauce and mentored employees who became lifelong friends. And Ralph created a local favorite – the Spuderito.
Ralph is survived by his cherished wife of 34 years, Mary Lou, with whom he shared a storybook romance. He will be deeply missed by all of his family, siblings Anna and Vince, stepchildren Jane, David, Judy and Kevin, his Nephew Chris, nieces Linda, Gina and Maria, their spouses, children and grandchildren.
Ralph died peacefully at home, September 7th, in his favorite spot by the fireplace listening to Puccini, his eyes on the Ventura Keys and his beloved channel to the open sea.
