Joseph Bernardo Lourito 84, of Ventura, California, passed away on September 4, 2021.
Joseph “Bernie” was born in Ventura to Joe and Zoraida Lourito on May 20, 1937. He attended Holy Cross School and Villanova Preparatory School. He served in the US Army as a paratrooper and returned home to work in the family business. Joseph received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of La Verne.
Joseph is preceded in death by Lydia his wife of 32 years, and grandsons Thomas Weems and Austin Cox. He is survived by his daughters Theresa (Bill), Felicia (Alberto), and Lydia (Silvestre), and sons Peter, and Philip (Deborah). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Joseph passed away with his longtime companion Celia by his side after a brief illness.
A Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
