On August 14, 2021 Loretta Jane Valentine of Markleville, IN passed peacefully at the age of 84 years.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 60 Years, Samuel J. Valentine, Jr. and will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Shelley, seven grandchildren; James, Daniel, Matthew, Sarah, Emily, Amanda, and Amelia; 11 great grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren.
Loretta was preceded in death by her daughter Susan and son Jacob, her brother Jerry Dell and her parents John and Helen Dell of Granger, IN.
Loretta was born in South Bend on July 7, 1937. She married and moved to Markleville in 1961. She was employed at The Savings and Loan for 18 years. She was an accomplished organist and enjoyed sewing.
The family wishes to extend special thank you to both the staff at Rawlins House and IU Methodist Hospital for their care and compassion.
Family and friends may gather at the residence, 8759 South 400 East, Markleville, IN on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 11am – 1pm.
