Eva A. Sweeney, 73, of Middleboro and formerly of Braintree and Taunton, passed away on September 12, 2021 with her family at her side.
Born in Taunton on October 19, 1947, she was the eldest daughter of the late Anne (Klebash) and John Viera.
Eva was the beloved wife and best friend of Richard Sweeney for forty-eight years.
Eva was the devoted mother of Melissa Burns (Jeffrey Burns) of Milton and Krista Pari-di-Monriva (Fabio Pari-di-Monriva) of Simsbury, CT. Eva was the cherished grandmother “Nana” to her three grandchildren: Sydney G., Caiden M. and Caroline M. Burns of Milton. Eva truly loved being a mother and grandmother and treasured the time that she spent with her children and grandchildren.
Eva is survived by her beloved sister Elaine Forman (late Bernard Forman) of Bridgewater, her brother Robert Viera (Louise Viera) of Taunton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Eva was a graduate of St. Luke’s Nursing School in New Bedford. Eva was a certified registered rehab nurse for over 50 years. She spent the majority of her years working at Braintree Rehab Hospital.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend funeral services on Friday, September 17 at 10:30 am at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours are Thursday, September 16 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eva’s memory may be made to St. Jude.
