WORCESTER____Victoria (Cortes) Gonzalez Avila, 94, passed away on Friday September 10, 2021 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Her husband of 76 years, Arcadio Avila passed away less than six months ago on March 18.
Victoria is survived by her daughters, Miriam, Olga, Sonja, Nilda, Lisa, Sandra and Aida. She also leaves seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Victoria was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico a daughter of the late Juan Cortes and Basilisa Gonzalez. Victoria was the last living of the five siblings.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 with a service at 12:00 P.M. in DIRSA – MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, Worcester. Burial next to her husband will follow in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
