On Thursday, September 2, 2021, Alton “Bruce” Brewster Sherman Jr., passed away at the age of 72 at his home in Centerville, MA surrounded in love. He was the beloved husband of Margo Sherman; the loving father of Christina Oats & her husband Derek and Bradford Sherman & his wife Nicole; admiring grandfather of Alexander, Ryan, Sarah and Elizabeth Oats and Charlotte, Jocelyn and Madison Sherman. He is also survived by his sister Zerviah (Sherman) Clapp of Shell Beach, CA. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Alton Brewster Sherman Sr., and his mother, Charlotte.
Bruce was born on August 28, 1949 in Hyannis, MA to CDR. Alton Brewster and Charlotte (Alexander) Sherman. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1975 from Suffolk University in Boston and worked as an Account Manager for Pevco Systems before retiring in 2015. He was also a Reservist serving in the Massachusetts Army National Guard based out of Otis Air National Guard Base on Cape Cod. On May 12, 1972 he married Margaret Nowakiewicz.
His family had a private wake and will be celebrating his life together at a later date.
