FALL RIVER – Carleton Bennett, age 53, passed away on September 1, 2021. He was the husband of Desiree Smith-Bennett. Born in Dorchester, he was the son of Francyna (Greene) Bennett and the late David Bennett. Carleton graduated with a GED. Before he passed, he worked as a Foreman at Carl’s Painting and also worked for S&S Construction. He loved riding in his car with his seat back listening to music. He was a family man who especially loved celebrating the holidays with them. Always had a joke to tell and loved making people laugh with his own lingo & jokes.
Along with his wife and mother, he is survived by his children Sharoya Martin, Roy Martin Jr., Raekwon Martin, Carleton Bennett Jr., Dorian Woods and Paul Smith-Bennett; siblings Mark Bennett, Juanita Bennett, Devouhn Murray and Alexis Gooding; 4 grandchildren Peyton and Paxton Bozeman, Na’la Griffin and Carlenna Bennett; sister-in-law Gina Smith; brother-in-law Richard Smith; nieces and nephews Mark Pruitt, Tanika Pruitt, Marc Bennett, Quiline Odwar and Samia, Christina, Dennis Bennett; great nieces and nephews Maliyah James, Brook’Lyn Stokes, Amir Martin and Kyrie Bostic. As well as other family members and friends, who will sadly miss him.
