Ailton D. Tavares (25) of New Bedford died September 8th in the city.
He was born in Brockton son of Edna (Andrade) Tavares and Carlos Tavares both of New Bedford. Ailton was in the entertainment business and was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church. He was a graduate of Brockton High School, Massasoit Community College and Bridgewater State University. Ailton enjoyed drawing, music and was an independent entrepreneur.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his maternal grandmother Jacinta Duarte of Brockton, his brother Edson Tavares of New Bedford, (brother of the late Emerson Tavares), many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Tuesday September 14th from 5-8 pm. Services in the Funeral Home Wednesday September 15th at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, 71 E Main Street Brockton at 10:30 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton.
