FALL RIVER – Maria Teresa DaPonte, age 84, passed away on September 9, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose DaPonte. Born in Fenais da Luz, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Estefania (Moreira) Venancio. Maria was a member of Calvary Temple Church who loved the Lord and was faithful in praying for others. She was loved by many for her smile, kindness and sacrificial personality. She loved spending time with her daughters and her grandchildren.
Maria is survived by her daughters MaryLou Larose and her husband Randi of Spencer, MA and Teresa Cunha and her husband Michael of Fall River; siblings Maria Pires, Isaura Clemente, Bernadette Vieira and Telmo Moreira; 4 grandchildren Brandon Rebello, Joshua and Sarah Cunha and Ambria Larose as well as her first great-grandchild on the way. She was predeceased by her brothers Vasco and Jose Moreira.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a service at the Calvary Temple Church at 10 A.M. on Thursday, September 16th. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
