Christopher R. DaCosta, 42, of New Bedford died Thursday, September 9, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Richard and Odete (Almeida) Durden, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He attended the Kennedy Donovan Center Day Habilitation Program for all of his life.
Christopher loved listening to Patriots games and soft music and spending time with his family. He had an infectious laugh that would go on forever.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Odete of New Bedford; his brother, Scott DaCosta of Holliston; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Ivo and Adelaide Almeida.
His visiting hours will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 from 9-11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with a short prayer being said at 11AM. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christopher's memory may be made to the Kennedy Donovan Center, 19 Hawthorn St., New Bedford, MA 02740.
