Sharon E. Cooper, 74, of Anderson, passed away at her home in Anderson on September 6, 2021.
She was born on March 5, 1947 in Elkton, Maryland, the daughter of Roy and Maude (Faircloth) Evans.
She was a hairstylist for 40 years in the Anderson area and also worked for several years at Bob’s Discount Liquor. She enjoyed reading, baking (especially at Christmas with everyone loving her peanut butter blossoms and buckeyes),being outdoors and spending time with her family. She was married to Robert P. Cooper on February 19, 1977 and he preceded her in death in 1997. Sharon never met a stranger and everyone she met loved her and appreciated her for her “straight shooter” personality.
She is survived by her children; Lesley M. (Art) Henning and Jason R. Cooper; three grandchildren, Jackson, Aiden and Maggie Henning all of Anderson; sister, Gail Ritter of Gibsonville, North Carolina ; sisters-in-laws, Patricia Cooper Randolph and Nancy (Jerry) Pitt; close family friend, Jean Neal.
She was preceded in death by seven siblings.
The family is planning a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
